JETech Privacy Screen Protector

by GFR2

jetechsecurityAs you may have read I had the JETech screen protector fitted to my iPhone 6S Plus, and it did its job well, but I somehow managed to catch the edge of the protector when putting it in my pocket and lifted the corner without noticing – dust got under the protector and made a small bubble – that annoyed me, so I bought a new protector!

I was going to purchase another of the standard screen protectors but when looking I stumbled upon this privacy version so thought that I’d give it a try.

Same quality as the previous JETech iPhone 6+/6S+/7+ Screen Protector so no issues there, but oddly it doesn’t come with the fitting frame which I think is an oversight as the fitting frame makes it so easy to install.

Luckily I had the frame from the above kit so used this and the supplied cleaning kit to make sure the screen was factory clean (well as close as!) to install the new protector.

So what does this do differently to the original? Simple, it’s polarised so at certain angles you can’t see what is on the screen – this is both good and bad.

Good – prevents others from seeing your screen, useful when using internet banking and such like, some people may even use them to view content best suited for private time!

Bad – can be a pain when trying to show others photos, Youtube videos etc as they need to be looking directly at the screen.

If you are looking for a new screen protector, or want some privacy (for whatever reason!) then have a look at this offering from JETech.
